Attention all USPC members and families!

The online registration for the 2009 USPC Annual Meeting, hosted by the Carolina Region in Greenville, SC is now available. Please visit the registration link below to sign up. Or, check out the pink registration booklet found in the middle of the new USPC News that recently arrived in the mail. The early registration prices of Adult $120 and Youth $90 are only available until Nov. 16th. If you procrastinate, it will cost you $30 more! Don't miss your chance to recharge your pony club batteries!

Here are just a few reasons that the AM is THE PLACE TO BE in January 2009:

-The Annual Meeting is a place where our USPC leaders meet to make policy. But the meeting is mostly about US. It's the place where parents can meet other parents to connect with and learn from their experiences. It's a networking dream! Where else will you find the powers-that-be in USPC, Graduate pony clubbers, Pony Club Legends, National Examiners, RS's, DC's HMO's, RIC's, CA's, club officers, Horsemasters, volunteers and pony clubbers of all ages in one spot?

-Parents can learn about all the special opportunities that are
available to their children, ie. International Exchanges within disciplines, Inter-Pacific Exchange, Internships, College opportunities, National Youth Congress, and USEF Pony Jumper Team.

-Meet the National Examiners and learn how to help pony clubbers attain their rating goals. Talk with other parents and share ideas how to best prepare for testings.

-Sign your child up for the C3 and Up Track: Taught by National
Examiners, they will see the same videos that the NE's use in their training seminars. There will be videos of Riding, Longeing, Teaching, Specialties, and Orals. They will watch the videos and discuss what Meets Standard and what doesn't and why. In addition, there will be a section on how to prepare
psychologically and emotionally for the testing and how to defeat performance anxiety. They will also discuss the importance of fitness and strength and how that contributes to riding and preparedness for the testing. Another benefit will be the chance to network with fellow Pony Club members who are also interested in pursuing the upper levels. Be sure and
sign up for this special 2 day session when you send in your registration for the Annual Meeting.

-Check out the entries and see who wins at the USPC Research Fair!

-Pony Paddock for the younger set just keeps getting better every year. The Pony Paddock is a place of fun and learning where you can drop off your pony clubber for a time while you attend the various workshops.

-The Banquet: What fun for us all to dress up and enjoy each others company, listen to the keynote speaker, bid on auction items and dance the night away.

Nothing could be finer than Pony Club in Carolina in January 2009. Don't delay! Sign up today!!

Insider Tip
When the ground gets hard and dry this summer, try packing your horse's hoofs with hoof packing 2 - 3 times per week. The hoof packing will make their hoofs more pliable and will help draw out any soreness.
