Policies for Savvy Equestrian
Product Reviews and Rating Criteria
Savvy Equestrian is happy to accept requests by consumers or manufacturers for particular products to be reviewed. In most cases manufacturers will supply products to be tested by a Master Equestrian or one of the Savvy affiliate farms. In a few instances we will initiate the review of a product that is currently in use by one of our team members. An adminstrative service fee will apply.
Depending on the product, we have a variety of ways to test a product and there is often more than one reviewer participating. Multiple reviewers will provide different perspectives based on the user and circumstances.
Manufacturers are contacted when the review is completed to clarify any details in question. They are given the opportunity to comment on the review or make recommendations for improving the user's experience. Links to the manufacturer's site are provided and products may possibly be sold through the Savvy store. Inquire for details.
Each product reviewed by a Savvy team member will be rated by the following system with points represented by blue ribbons. Official Savvy Rated art will be provided upon request to be placed on the manufacturer's website or for use in advertising. Please inquire for details at lasalle @ savvyequestrian.com.

Statement for Manufacturers
Savvy Equestrian reviews are conducted on an independent, unbiased basis. The review process is conducted by Savvy Equestrian. If the manufacturer provides product, it is to be delivered directly to Savvy Equestrian and will then be forwarded to the reviewer. An administrative service fee of between $200 and $500 will apply to all reviews, payable at the start of the review process. Multiple product reviews may be eligible for a discount.Every step of the Savvy Equestrian review process is designed to insure the integrity of the independent review. Our intention is to provide consumers with unbiased reviews of products that provide in depth information with a structured rating scale. This process sets a Savvy review apart from a paid sponsorship relationship or manufacturer statement. Each has value while being distinctly different. The service charge for a Savvy Review is similar to the fee paid to a breed association for a keuring or inspection. Fees paid are for providing the review team and publishing the results.
Manufacturers will be notified when their review is completed and ready to post. A Savvy Rated logo jpg will be provided to the manufacturer to place on their website which will link directly to the Savvy review. This expands the reach and availability of the review. This linked logo with brief text description is provided at no additional charge. The review is the property of Savvy Equestrian with all rights reserved.
Use of the Savvy Rated logo for print is available for $200 per use. Please inquire for pricing to use the reviewer's name or comments.

Sponsorship
What if one of our reviewers and a manufacturer decide to enter into a sponsorship relationship? If a manufacturer and reviewer decide to enter into a sponsorship agreement they must wait 60 days from the time the review is posted before doing so. This will insure the integrity of the independent review status. Up until the 60 day time period has elapsed the manufacturer may not directly contact the reviewer. All inquiries and correspondence must go through Savvy Equestrian to protect the process and the reviewer.
After 60 days the reviewer and sponsor may move forward with their agreement which may be made public after 90days. To be clear, public announcement of the sponsorship may be made 90 days after the review has been posted. [This includes print and web advertising and press releases.]
60 days after the Savvy review is posted either party may contact the other and begin the sponsorship process. At that point the sponsorship and Savvy Review are two distinct relationships with individual agreements.
